I totally missed calling this out in the last net worth update: we finally have more than $2MM in assets! We’ve been net worth millionaires since April 2023, but as our finances are totally commingled, that really just meant that we were individually half-millionaires. I’m trying to remember to celebrate the small wins as they happen in this journey towards financial independence, so here’s another one.

I almost never think of our assets as separate, since our finances have been combined since before we were even married. We hit retirement milestones together and we increase our savings by $X each year. But it is fun to briefly acknowledge that even if they were not so wholly combined, we would each individually be millionaires – one more brief hit of dopamine on the path through the boring middle.
